Qualification

To apply for the BHU Junior Clerk post, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

  • Essential Qualification:
    • Second Class Graduate from a recognized university.
    • Must have at least six months of training in computer usage for office automation, bookkeeping, and word processing from a certified institution.
    • OR, a Second Class Graduate with a Diploma in Computer recognized by AICTE.
  • Typing Skills Requirement:
    • English: 30 words per minute (WPM)
    • Hindi: 25 words per minute (WPM)
    • A Computer Typing Test (Skill Test) will be conducted for qualifying purposes.

Age Criteria

  • General Category: 18 to 30 years
  • OBC Category: 18 to 33 years
  • SC/ST Category: 18 to 35 years
  • Widows, Divorced, and Judicially Separated Women: Up to 35 years (SC/ST: 40 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per Government of India rules.
  • No age bar for permanent BHU employees.

Selection Process

The selection process for the BHU Junior Clerk position consists of:

  1. Written Examination: Candidates will have to appear for a written test assessing their general knowledge, reasoning ability, and office-related skills.
  2. Computer Proficiency Test: Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to use MS Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Skill Test (Typing Test): Candidates must qualify for the typing speed requirement.
  4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit original documents for verification.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive a salary as per Pay Level 2 in the Pay Matrix (₹19,900 – ₹63,200 per month) as per government norms.
