The University of Mumbai, re-accredited with an A++ Grade by NAAC, has released an official advertisement inviting applications for Graduate and Diploma Apprenticeship positions.
This opportunity is open for one-year training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, governed by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Western Region).

Qualification
Educational Qualifications Required:
- Finance & Accounts Assistant: Degree in Commerce; preference to Tally, Typing, and MS-CIT holders.
- Lower Grade Stenographer: Degree in any faculty; preference to English & Marathi Stenography certificate holders.
- Jr. Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Degree or Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- Law Assistant: Degree in Law; preference to Typing and MS-CIT holders.
- Lab Assistant: Degree in Science; preference to Typing and MS-CIT holders.
- Library Assistant: Degree in Library Science; preference to Typing and MS-CIT holders.
- Electrician/Carpenter/Plumber/Mason: Diploma in the respective trade.
- Driver: Degree in any faculty with valid Motor Vehicle License.
- Multi Task Operator: Degree in any faculty; preference to Typing and MS-CIT holders.
Age Criteria
Candidates must meet the age requirements as per the Apprenticeship Rules. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

- Basic computer knowledge (MS-CIT preferred)
- Domain knowledge related to applied post
- Typing proficiency (for relevant roles)
- Ability to follow instructions and learn on the job
Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying exams.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Final selection will be based on interview performance and academic merit.
Salary
The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend:
- ₹9,000 for graduates
- ₹8,000 for diploma holders
This is a training-based stipend as per the Apprenticeship Act. The University holds the right to increase the stipend for outstanding performers.
