Qualification
To apply for SSR (Medical Assistant), candidates must:
- Have passed 10+2 (Class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a board recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Have minimum 50% marks in aggregate and at least 40% in each subject.
- Students currently appearing in Class 12 exams (2024-25) may also apply. However, they must submit their original marksheet later and meet the minimum marks requirement to be considered for selection.
Age Criteria
Eligible candidates must be born between the following dates (both inclusive):
- 02/2025 Batch: 01 Sep 2004 to 29 Feb 2008
- 02/2026 Batch: 01 Jul 2005 to 31 Dec 2008
Anyone born between 01 Sep 2004 and 31 Dec 2008 is eligible to apply for INET 2025. Final selection will depend on age-specific eligibility for the respective batches.

Selection Process
The recruitment will be done in two stages:
Stage I – INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test)
- Online Computer-Based Test with 100 multiple-choice questions.
- Questions will be in English & Hindi.
- Sections include English, Science, Biology, and General Awareness.
- Duration: 1 hour.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Stage II – PFT, Written Test & Medical Exam
- Shortlisted candidates from Stage I will be called for Physical Fitness Test, followed by a written test and medical examination.
Salary
- Training Period Stipend: ₹14,600 per month.
- After training, placed in Pay Level 3: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100.
- Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹5,200/month + DA (as applicable).
- Promotion possible up to Master Chief Petty Officer-I (Level 8) with pay up to ₹1,51,100.
