Qualification
For Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):
- Minimum Qualification: 10+2 / XII standard or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Typing Speed:
- English: 35 w.p.m OR
- Hindi: 30 w.p.m on a computer (corresponds to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH respectively on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
For Junior Stenographer (JST):
- Minimum Qualification: 10+2 / XII standard or equivalent.
- Stenography Skills:
- Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 w.p.m.
- Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer.
Age Criteria
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: Maximum age limit is 28 years.
- Junior Stenographer: Maximum age limit is 27 years.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
Key Skills
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Typing speed and accuracy.
- Familiarity with office work, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Time management and multitasking.
Selection Process
The selection process includes the following steps:
For JSA Posts:
- Written Examination (Paper-I: Mental Ability, Paper-II: English, GK, Arithmetic, etc.)
- Typing Test on Computer
For JST Posts:
- Written Exam
- Stenography Test
Final selection will be based on merit and performance in all stages.
Salary
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 (Level-2) + Allowances
- Junior Stenographer: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level-4) + Allowances
