Qualification

For Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA):

  • Minimum Qualification: 10+2 / XII standard or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Typing Speed:
    • English: 35 w.p.m OR
    • Hindi: 30 w.p.m on a computer (corresponds to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH respectively on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

For Junior Stenographer (JST):

  • Minimum Qualification: 10+2 / XII standard or equivalent.
  • Stenography Skills:
    • Dictation: 10 minutes at 80 w.p.m.
    • Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer.

Age Criteria

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant: Maximum age limit is 28 years.
  • Junior Stenographer: Maximum age limit is 27 years.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwD: 10 years

  • Familiarity with office work, data entry, and record-keeping.

Selection Process

The selection process includes the following steps:

For JSA Posts:

  1. Written Examination (Paper-I: Mental Ability, Paper-II: English, GK, Arithmetic, etc.)
  2. Typing Test on Computer

For JST Posts:

  1. Written Exam
  2. Stenography Test

Final selection will be based on merit and performance in all stages.

Salary

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant: ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 (Level-2) + Allowances
  • Junior Stenographer: ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level-4) + Allowances
