Qualification
To apply for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
- 12th Class Pass or equivalent from a recognized board/university.
- Typing Proficiency: Candidates must have a typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM) in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on a computer. This is equivalent to 10500 key depressions per hour in English and 9000 key depressions per hour in Hindi.

Selection Process
The selection process for the LDC post consists of the following stages:
1. Written Test (Objective Type)
The written test will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering:
- Computer Operations (20 marks) – Basics of computers, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning (20 marks) – Logical reasoning, coding-decoding, analogies, number series, and problem-solving.
- General Awareness (20 marks) – Current affairs, history, geography, economics, and general knowledge.
- English Language & Comprehension (20 marks) – Grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, sentence structure, and writing skills.
- Quantitative Aptitude (20 marks) – Basic arithmetic, algebra, percentages, profit-loss, time-distance, and numerical ability.
2. Skill Test (Typing Test on Computer)
Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for the skill test. The skill test is qualifying in nature and will require candidates to type at:
- 35 WPM in English OR 30 WPM in Hindi on a computer within 10 minutes.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a salary under Level-2 Pay Scale, which ranges from INR 19,900 to INR 63,200 per month along with allowances as per government norms.
