Qualification

To be eligible for the Excise Constable position, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th grade (Higher Secondary) from a recognized board under the 10+2 education system.

  • Candidates should have basic computer knowledge.
  • Physical fitness is mandatory, as the role requires field duties.
• Preference:
  • NCC certificate holders may get additional benefits.
  • Candidates with prior experience in defense or law enforcement may have an advantage.

Age Criteria

The age limit for candidates applying for the Excise Constable position is as follows:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/OBC (Madhya Pradesh residents only): 5 years relaxation
  • Female Candidates: 5 years relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms

Selection Process

The selection process for the Excise Constable post consists of multiple stages to ensure the recruitment of the most suitable candidates. The process includes:

1. Written Examination:

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

     • Long Jump: 13 feet
     • High Jump: 3 feet 6 inches
   • Female Candidates:
     • Running: 800 meters in 4 minutes
     • Long Jump: 10 feet
     • High Jump: 3 feet
3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
   • Male Candidates:
     • Height: 167.5 cm minimum
     • Chest: 81 cm (expansion of 5 cm required)
   • Female Candidates:
     • Height: 152.4 cm minimum
4. Medical Examination:
   • Candidates must be medically fit and free from any major physical disability.
   • Vision test will be conducted.
5. Document Verification:
   • Shortlisted candidates must provide valid documents during the verification process.

Salary

Selected candidates for the Excise Constable post will receive a salary as per Pay Matrix Level-4.

• Basic Pay: ₹19,500 – ₹62,000 per month
